Not seen after sunset: On 02 Sep 2016, ICOUK member Hafiz Dr Ayyub Patel from Dewsbury City in the West Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.

Not seen after sunset: On 03 Sep 2016, ICOUK member Mr Razmy Nazeer Mohamed from Crawley City in the West Sussex County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.

Mr Razmy Nazeer Mohamed commented: "We [I and Razmil Nizam] could not see the moon as sky full of clouds and rain observed from after magrib 20:15 till moon set time 20:37 ".


Announcement for start of Dhul Hijjah 1437 AH

On Friday 2nd September 2016 (29th Dhul Qa'dah 1437 AH) the Hilal of Dhul Hijjah 1437 was not sighted in the UK, but it was sighted in Morocco. We have also received a positive sighting report from Morocco Awqaf Ministry (login to view).

Therefore, the UK Ulama have decided that the month of Dhul Qa'dah 1437 AH will have 29-days and the month of Dhul Hijjah 1437 AH will start from Saturday 3rd September 2016 (making Eid-ul Adha on Monday 12th September 2016), Insha-Allah.
