Crescent Moon Visibility of Jumada Al-Akhira 1447 AH
Prediction: The crescent visibility map below for Jumada Al-Akhira 1447 (RHS) shows that the moon will be born on 20 November 2025 at 06:47 GMT/UT, but it will not be visible by the naked eye anywhere in the UK to Morocco region on that date. However, on 21 November 2025, the moon may be visible in Morocco but not in the UK (due to the low altitude during the Major Lunar Standstills). Bolton
Seen after sunset: On 23 Nov 2025, ICOUK member Mr Hameed Mamaniat from Bolton City in the Lancashire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was Seen by Naked-eye and Telescope.
Mr Hameed Mamaniat commented: "When I got to the site at 15:30, the horizon was completely covered in cloud (see picture 1). Between arriving and sunset at 16:01, it rained and even hailed. I still managed to grab both a colour and monochrome shot of the crescent through the telescope at around 15:55, even though I couldn’t see it with the naked eye. The cameras are sensitive enough to image through thin clouds, especially the monochrome, which has an IR720 nm pass-through filter attached. Then, at about 16:15, a break in the cloud appeared and the moon became clearly visible with the naked eye — picture 4 was taken on my phone. It stayed visible for a good half hour due to that gap. Note moonset was 17:37; however I had left by 16:30. Despite all the clouds, it was a good reminder that you sometimes just have to be patient and wait it out, even when the odds don’t look great".
