Not seen before sunset: On 23 Oct 2025, ICOUK member Mr Modoris Ali from Cradley Heath City in the West Midlands County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.

Mr Modoris Ali commented: "The weather was totally cloudy and raining in my area today. I was unable to see the moon. Waiting for other locations to see if the moon was seen or not seen".


Fleetwood (Blackpool)

Not seen after sunset: On 23 Oct 2025, ICOUK member Mr Hameed Mamaniat from Fleetwood (Blackpool) City in the Lancashire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye or Telescope.

Mr Hameed Mamaniat commented: "Thick clouds on the horizon made it difficult to image the moon in infrared wavelength [using an astro-camera]".


Marshgate (Cornwall)

Not seen after sunset: On 23 Oct 2025, ICOUK member Mr Juned Patel from Marshgate (Cornwall) City in the Cornwall County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye or Binoculars.

Mr Juned Patel commented: "Waxing Crescent Moon observation from Marshgate, Cornwall. At the time of sunset, the moon's age was 52:44 hrs, and it had set 14 minutes after sunset (Sunset: 18:09 and Moonset: 18:23 BST), with the Illumination of 4.45%. Not seen after sunset: On 23 Oct 2025, ICOUK member Mr Ashruf Amod from Slough City in the Berkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Rainy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye or Binoculars.

Mr Ashruf Amod commented: "The sky was completely covered in clouds. There were no changes since Asr. I was accompanied by Moulana Awais of Slough. We returned after Magrib, and the weather was still the same. We checked on Lunar Solaris and found that the moon showed it was about 2/3rds below the Horizon".


York (New Earswick)

Not seen after sunset: On 23 Oct 2025, ICOUK member Eng Qamar Uddin from York (New Earswick) City in the North Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.

Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "It was partly cloudy in York today (23/10/2025), and the sunset was clearly visible, but the moon was not seen. Most of the UK was cloudy forecast after sunset, and so we have not received any positive sighting reports from anywhere in the UK at the time of this report".

Seen after sunset: On 24 Oct 2025, ICOUK member Mr Juned Patel from Boston City in the Lincolnshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was Seen by Binoculars.

Mr Juned Patel commented: "It was cloudy in Boston, but I was able to see the moon with my binoculars intermittently from 15:30 BST onwards (emerging from very dense clouds and disappearing again within a few seconds) until after sunset at 17:47 BST. Not seen after sunset: On 24 Oct 2025, ICOUK member Maulana Yusuf Mota from Leeds (Seacroft) City in the West Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.

Maulana Yusuf Mota commented: "Not sighted in Leeds from my spot in Seacroft. Waited until moonset time, which was 18:19 here in Leeds, but I didn’t manage to sight it".


York (New Earswick)

Seen after sunset: On 24 Oct 2025, ICOUK member Eng Qamar Uddin from York (New Earswick) City in the North Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was Seen by Binoculars.

Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "I was running late today (24/10/2025) and arrived at my usual location about 10 mins before sunset. I was able to see the crescent moon with my binoculars (20×80) straight away, about 1 min after sunset, just above a thick bank of clouds (~1° altitude) on the horizon across the entire skyline. By the time I set up my camera to take a photo, the moon had disappeared into the clouds, so it could not be seen with the naked eye. However, I believe it could have been easily seen by the naked eye from other places with a clear horizon (if people were looking)".

Seen after sunset: On 25 Oct 2025, ICOUK member Mr Juned Patel from Bolton City in the Greater Manchester County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was Seen by Naked-eye.

Announcement for start of Jumada Al-Ula 1447 AH

On Thursday, 23rd October 2025 (29th Rabi-II 1447 AH), the Hilal of Jumada Al-Ula 1447 was not sighted in the UK (Local), according to the rules of Shariah. Therefore, Rabi-II 1447 AH will complete 30 days, and the month of Jumada Al-Ula 1447 AH will start on Saturday, 25th October 2025, InShaAllah.
