Not seen after sunset: On 28 Apr 2025, ICOUK member Mr Bader Zaman from Birmingham City in the West Midlands County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Mr Bader Zaman commented: "I tried to look today for the first time. But it was too cloudy. No sighting".
Bradford (Top of the World)
Not seen after sunset: On 28 Apr 2025, ICOUK member Dr Sufyan Ghias from Bradford (Top of the World) City in the Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Dr Sufyan Ghias commented: "We were a group of 6 people looking for the moon. It was not seen as it was quite cloudy on the horizon".

Shaykh Suliman Gani commented: "On Monday, 28 April 2025, after leading Maghrib Salah at Purley Masjid, I announced to sight the moon. Zayd McArdle accompanied me to the observation site at Riddelesdown. Hafiz Abdullah Aslam joined us there. We sighted the moon easily. Joining us was Baber Siddique and his 14 year old daughter, too. Mr Ali Khan commented: "My name is Moh'd Ali Akil and I am from Nuneaton. I testify that I saw the moon 28 April 2025 after sunset. The sky was clear with haze and the moon was seen on the left of sunset by naked eye. The time of sunset was approx 20:26 BST".

Mr Asad Chaudry commented: "The sky was clear but cloudy around the horizon. The crescent moon was seen with the naked eye, but was very difficult to photograph as the crescent was very thin".

Mr Atiq Hussain commented: "The weather was partly cloudy in Stockton-on-Tees. The new crescent was sighted on Maze Hill at 21:18 BST by a group of us (Atiq Hussain, Sajad Din, Muhammad Iqbal, Zaheer Iqbal, and Aftab Hussain). Seen after sunset: On 28 Apr 2025, ICOUK member Mr Faruq Bilbe from Whitehaven City in the Cumbria County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was Seen by Naked-eye and Binoculars.
Mr Faruq Bilbe commented: "Lots of low cloud over the Irish Sea again. My wife and I managed to see the Hilal through the clouds with binoculars for a few minutes. I suspect the shipping lights prevented us from seeing it by naked eye although the moon might have been bright enough".
York (New Earswick)
Not seen after sunset: On 28 Apr 2025, ICOUK member Eng Qamar Uddin from York (New Earswick) City in the North Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye or Binoculars.
Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "The weather in York today (28/4/2025) was partly cloudy and the four of us (Dr Afaq Ahmad, Hafiz Ashna Janagha, Dr Madian Othman, and I) were hopeful to see the 24-hour-old moon, high up in the sky (12° altitude at sunset) through a cloud-break. We had samosas and tea, prayed Maghrib, and waited for the sky to get darker. We saw Jupiter clearly, but we couldn't see the moon as it was behind a dark bank of clouds. However, we have received reports of naked-eye sighting from many other parts of the UK, Alhamdulillah".

Maulana Yusuf Mota commented: "I sighted the moon today (29/4/2025) in Leeds".

Seen after sunset: On 29 Apr 2025, ICOUK member Mr Atiq Hussain from Stockton-on-Tees City in the County Durham County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was Seen by Naked-eye.
Mr Atiq Hussain commented: "On the 29th April 2025 the crescent was again sighted for the second day in a row (after sighting on eve of 28th April). Location of sighting was from Dennison Street, Stockton On Tees (behind St Peters Parish Church). The altitude of moon at time of photos was approximately 20 Degrees. Seen after sunset: On 29 Apr 2025, ICOUK member Eng Qamar Uddin from York (New Earswick) City in the North Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was Seen by Naked-eye.
Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "The Hilal was easily seen in York today (29/4/2025) after sunset, very high up in the sky above the clouds. We can say, it's the seconday's moon from the UK because it was seen in many places yesterday, even though it was too cloudy to be seen in York. In the winter months, we may not have seen yesterday's (24-hour-old) moon, so it would be considered a first-day's moon on the next day in Shariah (See Sighting of the Crescent Moon and the Signs of Qiyamah)".

On Monday, 28th April 2025 (29th Shawwal 1446 AH), the Hilal of Dhul Qa'dah 1446 was sighted in the UK (Local), according to the rules of Shariah. Therefore, Shawwal 1446 AH will have 29 days, and Dhul Qa'dah 1446 AH will start on Tuesday, 29th April 2025, InShaAllah.
